Been Weird Lately

I am so sorry to you all who I have not kept in touch with these last couple of days. It has been a hard week for Dave and me. On Friday, December 21st Dave's father passed away. It was a shock to us all! On Saturday, we packed up the car and did the 19 hour drive to Arkansas. The drive wasn't bad, but it was long to do all in one shot and Oklahoma has to be the MOST BORING state I have ever driven through!

Ok, so not only were we there for the funeral, but I got to meet most of Dave's family. Can we say STRESSFUL? It was nice, however, and they all took me in as if I were one of the family. I got to meet Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Second Cousins, Sons , Friends, even an Ex (Awkward, but not as bad as I was expecting). One thing I can say is that news travels FAST in that small community! Felt like I was on rumor control (aka, no I don't have any kids, I don't know where that came from, I have never been pregnant).

Dave was amazing, I don't think I would have been able to hold myself together as well as he did! Just the fact that I was back in Arkansas after so many years (I was 14 when I moved from there) was stress enough for me. I couldn't imagine what was going through his head and I don't even want to try! We were able to get some of his things out of storage and take them home including the yearbook from Gosnell Jr. High the year I lived there.. It was too cute when I opened it and found a heart drawn around my picture.. He "loved" me even back then!

I got to meet 2 of Dave's 3 sons. Davey and Alex are typical boys, ha ha loud, and full of this energy that I wish I could bottle up and sell! I can't even remember having that much energy, but I must have according to my mom! Davey reminds me so much of Dave when he was younger! You can tell he just sits back and takes everything in before he decides to do something. Alex, on the other hand, is the fiesty one, the one to say before he thinks type. Each in their own way, great kids and it was fun to see them and watch Dave spend some quality time with his boys.

All in all, it was nice for Dave to see his family and at this time, he really needed that! I'm glad I got to share it with him. Don't think I have ever been asked "When y'all gettin' hitched?" so many times in my lifetime, ha ha, but that was expected and my answer: We're thinking about it.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year, and please BE SAFE!!! I don't have enough money to do anymore traveling!

What a Wonderful World

My aunt and uncle are here visiting from Turkey this weekend, actually, they are leaving this morning . I wish they could be here longer, I have so many things I would like to show them. But, I did get to talk to them about visiting them in Turkey. I have already applied for my passport! I know the visit won't be for another year. As it is, I am out of kitty litter, out of kitty food, need gas for my car and I'm stressing about how I'm supposed to come up with money so that on October 21st, I can fly out to NY for one of my dearest friend's wedding. Joy!

I am at mom's house using her new laptop. This thing ROCKS!! I want one, and to think that she got it for free! Last week she went to Washington DC for a conference and won it in a drawing.... Wish I had that kind of luck!

I know I'm just blabbing on and on really about nothing, but I wanted to let you all know how things are going for me, especially since I haven't been able to call you all like I would want. My cell phone is still working and all, but I'm trying to save on the minutes. The best thing to do is text me. I have unlimited with that! If you don't have that number, it is 602-821-2586. If it is really necessary for you to call me, please make sure you do it after 9 (ARIZONA TIME) on weekdays and really anytime on the weekend.

As far as things on the relationship aspect, finally, things are looking really well! I don't want to jinx anything so I won't. LOL Dave will be starting his new job on Monday, Well his second new job.. He got an offer with a contract position, so he worked that for two weeks and then was offered a better more stable position with another company and he took that. I think he's in shock with all the options they have out here on the job market.

As far as things with me and my job, well..... Lets just keep our fingers crossed that things get better! Thank goodness I have dear souls in my life that are trying to help me out with catching up on my bills. This whole being grown up and living in the real world gets old real quick!

I LOVE MY CAR!!!!!!!!! As many of you know, I have wanted a Beetle since I was in High School, then of course, I had the whole family thing going on, so I couldn't get one after I got married, but HA HA, now (thank you Gerald), I am able to have it and I'm LOVING IT!!!

So there you go, not much.... Hope all is groovy with you all.

Just when you think you have everything figured out and you think you know exactly what you want in life, you get thrown a curve ball that throws you for such a loop. A lot has happened that has made me do a lot of questioning about what it was that I truly wanted in my life. I had to let some things go and grasp on to what I now think is one of the best things to happen to me in a really long time.
I wasn't expecting it at all! I actually thought that what I had back when I was in Jr. High was just puppy love, but now it has grown to sooooo much more and to think that after 18 years and both of us in serious relationships and major heart breaks that we would meet up again and feel so comfortable with each other that it just feels right to be together just is totally amazing to me!!
Right now, I can honestly say... I am happy.. And I thank him with all my heart!

Aries: The Amorous Nature

YOU AND THE ARIES WOMAN

If you fall in love with an Aries woman, you'll never lack for excitement. But are you the kind of man who can handle a full-blooded independent, forceful female? Because that's what Aries woman is.

This passionate, intense creature can't give a tepid response. She's a fully stocked fireplace, with logs, kindling, and paper, waiting for the touch of a match to set her on fire.

In her relations with men she is domineering. You can either accept it or leave. If you stay, you've made the first concession on a long road. At the end, you're likely to find you've been molded and shaped to fit her image of what her love should be.

What Aries woman wants, she gets. When a man meets an irresistible force like her, he tends to become a highly movable object.

She needs love and gets more than her share, but no man becomes her lord and master. She meets a man on equal terms. If he offers loyalty, she repays him in kind. If he is untrustworthy, she also repays him in kind.

In love she will be faithful, but she expects total fidelity in return. Her jealousy is rooted in possessiveness. She doesn't want a lover who has too many other interests. She wants all of him—or nothing at all.

There is an important distinction to make about her jealousy that may be useful in helping to understand her fundamental character. She isn't jealous because of a feeling of insecurity (the root cause of most jealousy), but because she has to be number one.

The Aries woman finds happiness in a long term relationship. She enjoys sharing everything with a lover and she is highly affectionate, even sentimental. She will be your staunchest ally, fight side by side with you, believe in you, encourage you. She's a marvelous companion for a man on the way up or fighting to stay at the top because she'll give him all the strength and determination she has. She's definitely ambitious.

When she does not feel she is loved she can become shrill and demanding. Above all, she won't tolerate being ignored or neglected. The straight road to perdition is a relationship with an unhappy Aries woman.

She wants to be understood and appreciated for her unique qualities. If you handle her with tact and give her the admiration she needs, this vivacious, active, mischievous, sensual, fascinating woman will do anything you ask.

HOW TO ATTRACT ARIES

Don't be timid. Faint heart never won Aries, male or female. Let Aries people know how much you admire them right at the beginning. Aries people will never think you brash if you are paying them a compliment. They feel they deserve it. Be a bit careful, though, about laying it on too thick. They can always spot insincerity.

Aries people think of themselves as intellectuals, so don't appeal to them purely on a physical plane. They will enjoy a lively discussion of theater, music, politics, or even more esoteric subjects such as history, art, or philosophy.

A good suggestion for a date early in the relationship is a sporting event. (With Aries, it can never be more than a suggestion.) They are enthusiastic sports fans. If you don't know much about the game you're watching, let them explain it to you. They'll do so in a way that will make it interesting and exciting.

Before an important date, take a nice long nap. Aries is no clock-watcher, and the fun may go on and on into the wee hours. Aries people pick up steam while everyone else is running out of gas.

By all means, bring your problems to Aries. There is nothing they like better than to be asked for advice. They are generous with their time, counsel, money, and sympathy. And there's an additional advantage. No Aries is in doubt as to what should be done in any given situation. You'll get a forthright, black-and-white, no-quibbles-or-evasions answer.

Important: Never try to dictate to an Aries. They don't know how to take orders. If you want to put an idea into his or her head, do it so that Aries thinks the idea originated there.

ARIES AND TAURUS (ME AND MY MAN) Both are highly sensual, but Aries may be annoyed by the deliberate pace and unimaginative lovemaking of Taurus. Taurus is a homebody, while Aries is definitely not. Aries is impulsive, and looks for new experiences and freedom. Taurus is possessive and jealous, set in its ways, and views Aries's need to be an individual as a rejection. Taurus is good at making money but Aries is even better at spending it. The long haul can be hard going, though if they hang on long enough Aries will come to appreciate Taurus's steadiness and dependability.
